The resort’s signature course is the Plantation Course, a par-73 layout measuring 7,596 yards from the back tees. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course is known for its dramatic elevation changes, wide fairways, and breathtaking ocean views. As the annual host of The Sentry, the PGA TOUR’s season-opening event each January, the Plantation Course is tested by the world’s top players. The course’s most iconic hole is the 18th, a downhill par 5 that stretches over 600 yards and rewards long drives with a thrilling second-shot opportunity.
For those seeking a different experience, the Bay Course—designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane—offers a par-72, 6,600-yard layout that winds through palm trees and coastal scenery. It’s home to Maui’s only hole that plays directly over the ocean, the par-3 17th, a favorite for both its beauty and its risk-reward design. The Bay Course has hosted over 20 major professional events and provides a more traditional resort golf experience with walkable terrain and ocean breezes.
With two distinct courses, Kapalua Golf delivers a rare combination of high-profile tournament pedigree, varied design, and unmatched island scenery—making it one of Hawai‘i’s premier golf destinations for visitors and serious players alike.
