The centerpiece of the club is its 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Rees Jones and Steve Weisser. Measuring 7,329 yards from the back tees, the par-72 layout integrates the region’s lava flows, ocean breezes, and dramatic coastal views. It’s also one of the few courses in the world with six holes playing directly along the Pacific Ocean, offering both challenge and scenery in equal measure. The course is certified as a Bronze Signature Sanctuary by Audubon International, highlighting its environmentally responsible design and maintenance practices.Strategic bunkering, firm playing surfaces, and ever-present coastal winds demand thoughtful play across the round. A standout hole is the par-3 17th, which plays directly toward the ocean, with wind and elevation adding complexity to club selection. Kohanaiki’s practice facilities mirror course conditions and include a driving range, short game area, and putting green, supporting players at all skill levels. Whether walking the oceanfront fairways or navigating the lava-lined rough, golfers at Kohanaiki experience a layout that is both challenging and unmistakably Hawaiian.
