The 18-hole course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and opened in 2011. It plays to 7,028 yards from the back tees and features paspalum turf and sand-plated fairways, which help deliver smooth play and strong turf resilience in the tropical climate. Nearly every hole offers ocean views, with several perched along ridgelines that provide wide vistas of the coastline and surrounding mountains. The layout is walkable, with generous fairways and greens shaped to reward strategic play.
Signature holes include the par-3 6th, which plays downhill toward the water with a strong wind component, and the par-5 14th, which curves around a series of bunkers and natural slopes. The course is challenging but accessible, and its routing was designed to blend with the land rather than overpower it. For members and guests seeking a scenic, thoughtful round on Kaua‘i, Kukuiʻula Golf Course delivers a private golf experience rooted in both landscape and design.
